2016 Season Bow Setups
With the Fall 2016 season fast approaching, the most common questions I receive are in regards to my equipment. This will break down each of my 3 bows that I use, including arrows, sights, poundage, etc. Please keep in mind that if you've read previous blogs, I may have had different combinations on these setups; this is CURRENT and what I plan to use for my 2016 season. If I didn't address something, please comment below and I will update this article accordingly.
PRIMARY BIG GAME SETUP
Purchased: March 2015
Current Draw Weight: 54 lbs (ranges from 50-60; I train at 58, then drop back for season)
Sight: HHA King Pin Optimizer
Arrows: Black Eagle Renegades
Broadheads: 100 grain Afflictor K2 Hybrid
Game Harvested: 1 Hog
SECONDARY BIG GAME SETUP
Hoyt Charger - Vixcen Series
Purchased: January 2013
Draw Weight: maxed out at 50 lbs
Sight: HHA King Pin Optimizer
Arrows: Gold Tip Hunter
Broadheads: 100 grain Afflictor K2 Hybrid
Game Harvested: 6+ Whitetail, 10+ Hogs, 1 Elk

Current Draw Weight: 40 lbs (ranges from 15-70 lbs)
Sight: Open sights
Retriever/Arrow: AMS
Fish Harvested: 6+ gar, 1 shad, 2 snakes
